Happy birthday Fletch!

It was my birthday a few weeks ago - so much fun!

The day commenced with the usual ritual of ripping into the pressies!

Cool! A fire truck!!

Wow! Roary the racing car!!!

I got lots more cars too... and had a great time lining them all up...

... also had fun playing ...

... although at least one little person fell victim to birthday play fatigue early

Mum made a cookie monster cake with lots and lots of cookies!

As this is only my second birthday I thought I should practice before blowing out the candles for real **PHHHRRRTTT**

Happy birthday to me! Happy birthday to me!!
Mmmm... Cookies! Not sure about that blue icing though...

Ahhh don't worry Fletch - just tuck in!

At the end of a busy birthday... seems I've succumbed to the birthday play fatigue too... sleeping with my eyes open!

Tom's baptism

It was my baptism last weekend!

First anointing... just warming up for the 'main event'...

**splash!!**

Second anointing... "hi Father Denis!"

"may you walk always as a child of the light"... (that's one of Mum's favorite lines)...

And this is us at the end of it all! Or is it the beginning??

Time to party with the cousins!

We had cake...

this is me with my cake...

... which I cut for everyone ...

... and gifts for the Godparents ...

... drawing and colouring with Lorna ...

... more cousins ...

There was a car race on that day too that some people saw on tv...

... but the real action was happening outside! Go Katie!!

Thanks to everyone for coming along - I had a great day and I hope you all did too!!!

Our little holiday Part 3

We spent lots of time on holidays just hanging out at Auntie Tricia's place...

Despite appearances, Ali did actually enjoy her weetbix and Fletch continues to enjoy his, now eating three most mornings!

There were piano lessons for Tom...

... and Ali ...

... but Fletch had his own unique style!

There were bubbles in the backyard...

... and a few visitors ...

... and some pretty orchids!

We also went to the park and saw some boats... small boats...

... and a really big boat! Is Captain Feathersword in town this week too?!

The 'wobbly bed' is also good fun too!

Thanks to Auntie Tricia for having us stay and look forward to more Port Macquarie fun again soon! Now... back home to plan a party....!

Our little holiday Part 2

While on holiday in Port Macquarie we went for a drive over to Warchope to visit Timbertown! A visit to Timbertown just wouldn't be complete without a ride on the train...

... it was just like tagging along behind Thomas (the tank engine that is...).

WOW!!!

We also saw the bullock team (watch out for the horns!)...

... some girls skipping..
... the church ...
... the cemetary (Martha clearly wasn't listening!) ...
Ali had a go at ringing the school bell...
... and also checked out a neat old cubby house!
There was also some little kid fun to be had on this see-saw (not exactly up to Australian playground safety standards but that's ok)...

... and the icecreams were yummy too!

Hmmm.... look like anyone we know?!

Our little holiday Part 1

We had a little holiday recently to Auntie Tricia's house at Port Macquarie. It was another chance for us to catch up on some beach fun!

Building sandcastles is always lots of fun for 'water phobes' like us and it's good when there's some grownups around who can help out. Living near the beach makes Aunty Tricia a bit of an expert in these things we think...

... but Robbie had some fun building too. He's more into mote construction though.

The masterpieces! Mum had a go at making a koala and we found some driftwood to make a flagpole for our castle.

This was the beach the first day we went (a bit cloudy)...

... but the next time we went it was nicer.

We also saw some locals while we were there...

... and ate some 'crunchy' banana (tip: beware of sand on your hands when eating at the beach). Fletch not only had a problem with the water but also the sand (yeah, the beach probably wasn't the best place for him)...

... but he had fun anyway.

Ali and Mum went in search of shells and other interesting things...

... while Tom got out of the pram for this pic: "This is me with the ocean in the background to prove I actually went to the beach!"
It was great! Stay tuned for more posts on our Port Holiday... coming soon!
